On windows 7 the hp drivers extract into c drive under the SWSETUP folder. Please open the files in that folder or update the drivers in device manager and choose that folder.

After installing windows 8 and 10 on a HP COMPAQ 620 laptop there is one missing drivers. This is a Video controller and the correct driver is Mobile intel (R) 4 series express chipsset family. Download here. For windows 7 there is a missing Network controller, the correct device is Realtek RTL8191SE 802.11 b/g/n Wifi adapter. Download here.

Don't forget the correct power supply is 18.5V 3.5A 65W 4.8mm x 1.7mm
