On windows 7 the hp drivers extract into c drive under the SWSETUP folder. Please open the files in that folder or update the drivers in device manager and choose that folder.
After installing windows 7 on a HP COMPAQ 625 laptop there is 1 missing driver. This is a Network controller and the correct device is Broadcom 802.11 wireless lan adapter. Download here.
