After installing windows 8 on a HP COMPAQ G56-105SA laptop there are 2 missing drivers. These are Video controller and Network controller. The correct drivers are Intel 45 mobile chipset express and Realtek Wifi. ~For the video controller update it in device manager. Download the wifi here.
Don't forget the correct power supply is 18.5V 3.5A 5MM X 7.4MM
